About Rhode Island Adult Education
Rhode Island Adult Education (based at the Rhode Island Department of Education, or RIDE) supports adult learners in gaining skills and credentials for employment, citizenship, and family and community leadership.
There are 5 different types of classes:
Adult Education (Reading and Math)
English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL)
High School Certificate/GED
Job Skills Training
Citizenship
Classes are offered at 19 local programs across the state. Many programs offer classes in person, online, and hybrid. Visit EnrollRI.org/AdultEd to browse a full list of program providers and the types of classes they offer.

The Master Referral Spreadsheet is a view-only spreadsheet that lists the available programs for Rhode Island Adult Education providers in fiscal year 2025. It includes program types, schedules, contact information, and enrollment types. Program staff can use this resource to refer students to other programs and classes.
