Adult Education Orientation - Part 3
Joan Ford and Marie Cora, Co-Presenters. This 3 part series (re)familiarizes adult educators with key principles, theories and approaches to delivering and facilitating learning to adult learners.
The orientation models good teaching practices and approaches while engaging participants in a range of synchronous and asynchronous participatory activities: introductions, brainstorming, reading tasks, active listening, and varying configurations of group work. Facilitators elicit participants' prior knowledge as part of the larger process of sharing/imparting new information.
